You end up with two copies of the same file. Some tiny things with Pixelmator which irritates is the use of TIFF instead of TIF. Stupid Adobe for charging so much rental for a bloated application full of features many users will never need. Today I bought Pixelmator because it can do nearly everything I need and with the support of one or two other Apps (Graphic Converter) for the more esoteric, Pixelmator has joined my Dock and Photoshop kicked off, never to be rented again. I also tried Affinity but its tiny icons viewed on 5k monitors made me reject it. So I tried all the other things I need – cutouts for print, resizing and so on. The results are just so much better than I could ever get in Photoshop. A couple of weeks ago I started Pixelmator Pro trial and compared the results I could get with one click (ML Enhance). I have been doing them in Photoshop which has taken, literally, weeks using various techniques adjusting curves, screening layers and so on. I am currently working on a book of photographs, many of which taken from 1960s transparencies that need extensive treatment to make them printable in CMYK. I also shoot for a magazine that needs 800X6X 690 for the main photo so that's why I am asking these questions I need a photo program that can give me those dimensions plus original size.ii I can't say where I work but I am also give advice to photographers on what software would fit them and I see a lot of potential in yours. I already have Capture 1 and I am trying your trial version as we speak for an alternative to photoshop. The reason I ask is I am about ready to drop Adobe.
