That would help a lot of people.Ī new day is dawning for the Vita, that much is for sure. PCSX-Reloaded has a very capable Internal HLE BIOS that can run many games without problems. First off, I have not been able to get PCSX ReARMed to work on my Android device at all. PCSX-Reloaded provides a number of plugins to provide basic functionality out of the box. Registered because I’m seeking assistance with Retroarch which has been giving me a couple of issues now that I can’t seem to solve on my own. If you are working fresh with retroarch on a 3DS you have rgui as your menu driver. PCSX-Reloaded uses the PSEMU plugin interface to provide most functionality without them, you will not be able to use it to play games. Then you will need to enable the following settings. I would recommend you post on the comments what games are working and how they perform for other users, if you don’t mind the trouble. To get started, you will need to download a recent nightly of the PCSX Rearmed Retroarch core. To get the latest version of PCSX-RA, just head over here to the libretro buildbot and get any nightly that is from the 26th September onwards. The current Vita version runs many games at 60fps, but more optimizations are coming. On the PC version of RetroArch PCSX-ReArmed is substituted by mednafen-PSX. ReArmed is the libretro port of this emulator for ARM platforms (Android being the main example) and is probably the most compatible portable emulator in the market. One of its most popular features (still today) is the fact that it worked near flawlessly with a BIOS file. PCSX-ReArmed is a fork of the popular emulator PCSX-R which itself was a continuation of the original PCSX emulator. At first I was thinking this had to do with the whole write-permissions thing in the latest version of Android - but it occurred to me that I am able to save via savestates no problem. Im using the PCSX Rearmed core in Retroarch. If I need to include anything else let me know, this is my first time even setting up a Pi, so I'm kind of doing this half blind.Which was followed up this morning with the announcement that PCSX-ReArmed is now available on the PS Vita! I tried two games but couldn’t get it to boot, I don’t have the time to troubleshoot right now but you can check here to see what games people are playing and with what success. Hey guys, Im having an issue trying to save to memory card in a PSX game. rmp file created for ReARMed when I remapped. I've included Pastebin links to both my PS3 controller map as well as the. I got that fixed by just going in to the Input menu and manually changing it (Which doesn’t make sense, as it was automatically set to Select, and stayed Select when I manually put it in), but the problem remains that while I can use the controller to bring up the RetroArch GUI and navigate it and EmulationStation, the games themselves act like I have no controller plugged in. While I initially had a problem where for some reason my hotkey got disabled and so whenever I would hit another key it would perform the hotkey action (Like hitting Start would close the game). However, at this point, every game stopped recognizing that I had a controller, and wouldn’t respond to any input. I TRIED IT THE NORMAL WAY, IT DIDN’T FIX IT) Everything works fine just after I remap both the face buttons as well as turning on the analog for the controllers.Īfter I tested it, had the buttons all working and the analog sticks functioning, I backed out of the game to ES and tried another game to make sure the changes stuck. Easily fixed via RetroArch menu when I'm in a ROM, yeah? (And before I get asked, YES, IT’S ALL BACKWARDS. So the problem I'm having is, when I first ran RetroArch, I had no issues, besides the face buttons being mapped backwards to my American sensibilities.
